(Senior) Developer for JavaScript Web Frameworks / Web UI Controls

The development center of SAP in Bulgaria is technology-focused and plays
key role in the defining and developing of the SAP Cloud Platform. With its
more than 930 professionals, SAP Labs Bulgaria also has strong
contributions towards life-cycle management, user interface & user
experience across the broader portfolio of SAP products. For its 20-year

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
SAP is the industry leader in enterprise applications, analytics, mobility and
cloud. Our department is responsible for delivering state of the art Web
frameworks and services for the User Interfaces of the SAP applications and
S/4HANA FIORI technology stack. Our main focus is SAPUI5, a highly
scalable, cross-browser JavaScript Framework. SAPUI5 incorporates a rich
set of Web controls based on HTML 5, which are used to create the UIs of
Business Applications designed for desktop, tablets or mobile devices.
SAPUI5 is available for the developer community as OpenUI5.
We are looking for (Senior) Developer in order to strengthen the UI
development teams.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
After an initial on-the-job training, you will:
Work in a cross-functional and multi-location implementation team applying
agile development practices;
Enable easy and quick development of Business Applications across all
SAP;
Build professional UI components with enterprise qualities (e.g.
accessibility, performance and security);
Contribute to the implementation of SAPUI5 metadata driven UI-s by using
complex backend protocols (OData);
Enhance smart controls by using metadata and annotations delivered by
the backend;
Implement personalization features for achieving UI Flexibility and increase
developer productivity by facilitating the development of application UIs to
be integrated with other applications;
Quality assurance and community work for SAPUI5.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATION / SKILLS AND COMPETENCES
BS (MS preferred) in Computer Science or related field
Profound knowledge in the development of client-side Web frameworks
with JavaScript, HTML and CSS
Knowledge in object-oriented programming languages
Knowledge in Open Data (OData) protocol is a plus
Very good skills in English both written and spoken
Flexibility and willingness to learn new subject matters quickly
Excellent team player, with strong communication skills, passionate about
his/her work, self-motivated and driven
WORK EXPERIENCE
At least 2 years of practical experience in JavaScript development;
Experience with building Single Page Applications using a framework is a
plus (Angular or other);
Development experience with different browsers (IE, Firefox, Safari,
Google Chrome);
Work on integration with backend APIs (REST clients, Swagger)
